Trade Secrets Episode 3
Welcome to Trade Secrets, a look behind the curtain to the planning board of home remodeling and new build projects. In this series, Michael Baine, owner of Baine Contracting Inc., will invite trade partners in the industry that we work closely with to discuss their contributions to our building projects and recognizing their work. It’s a chance to see what the building process is truly like and to even learn about some trade secrets to keep in your back pocket for your own remodeling projects.
In episode 3, Michael talks with his guest Shayna Vrabel, of Red Bank Design Center, about her expertise as an interior designer and the importance of knowing and understanding her clients and what they want to truly want to get out of their space. As a professional in her field, Shay provides a behind the scenes look at the design process that she walks her clients through, even down to the tiniest of details. She prides herself on being an expert that aids her clients in designing with true intention and bringing her clients’ vision to life even if it isn’t her own specific style, but with the goal in mind of creating balance and functionality in a space that feels intentional. A key element of her process is the importance she places on the mood board advantage, which evolves over the process of design, but helps clients physically visualize the space, one room at a time.
Throughout this conversation, Michael and Shay take a closer look at their design center and look back at one of our projects she collaborated with us on three years ago and see how it has held up over time.
