Business Partners with Clean Ocean Action for Day of Volunteering
OCTOBER 16, 2014; BRICK, NJ: Baine Contracting and a group of volunteers will return to Brick Beach 1 as part of a Jersey Shore-wide beach cleanup on Saturday, October 25. The volunteer cleanup effort is part of the semi-annual Beach Sweeps coordinated by Clean Ocean Action.
“This is our third Beach Sweep and at each event we’ve seen greater response and growing participation,” said Michael Baine, founder and president of Baine Contracting, Inc. “The response from our subcontractors, partners, clients, friends and family continues to inspire us. We’re grateful for the opportunity to return and clean up Brick Beach once again.”
The public is encouraged to participate by arriving at Brick Beach 1 on Saturday, October 25 between 8:45-9am. The cleanup effort starts at 9am and is expected to end at approximately 11am-11:30am. Volunteers should wear appropriate clothing, including sunscreen and hard-soled shoes. Free t-shirts, coffee, water and donuts and other refreshments will be available. Brick Beach 1 is located at 310 Route 35 North in Brick.
Baine Contracting employees, subcontractors, as well as their friends and family will be volunteering in the beach sweep along with members of two local professional networking groups, BNI Coastal Connections and BNI Wave.
The semi-annual Beach Sweeps are an ongoing effort by Clean Ocean Action to cleanup and restore Jersey Shore beaches to pristine condition. The organization coordinates the Beach Sweeps, logging items collected and publishing the data on its website.
Baine Contracting, Inc. is a residential contracting and construction company based in Brick, NJ with an office opening soon in Point Pleasant, NJ. The company was founded in 1984 and works exclusively in Ocean and Monmouth County.
