Installation Considerations

When you’re installing stairs and railings, there are a few things you need to consider and we’re here to provide professional, quality advice along the way.

We can help you to establish the dimensions of the installation space and your desired components, which may include designing and installing any, or all, of the following:

The material that supports the handrail, usually a series of vertical posts – can be constructed from timber, plastics, glass or metals.
The angled top of the balustrades.
Spiral staircase:
Steps that wind around a central pole.
Steps that are either in a straight run or interconnecting with another staircase.
Tread and Nosing:
Tread is the part of the stairway that you step on. Nosing is the edge of the tread that overhangs the riser.

Prior to commencing any designs, we will need to ensure the spatial measurements where the balustrades, handrails, and stairs will fit. It will benefit you to have us visit your property to help with these measurements during the planning stages.

As far as aesthetics go, we have a large range of materials we can supply for the construction of your stairs and handrails, from bronze balustrades to cast iron and hard wood spiral stair cases, and everything in between.

Regardless of if you’re looking for an interior staircase, or exterior access to a second storey on your home, we can assist.
